Misheck Shikabeta (b. 1994) is a documentary filmmaker and audiovisual artist from Lusaka, Zambia, currently based in Trento, Italy. For more than a decade, he has documented projects across Zambia, focusing on humanitarian storytelling, artisanal stories, and social-impact projects for multiple NGOs.
In 2025, his first project away from home, a mini-documentary 'Le Capre di Margone' (The Goats of Margone) won the EUSALP Award at the 73rd Trento Film Festival for its examination of sustainable mountain economies.
Misheck’s work has been published and broadcast internationally. He contributed to a documentary travel series across Zambia for Rai Italia as part of Filmmakers Around the World. His photography has been featured in ZEKE Magazine. In 2025, he also worked in Sardinia with Nuraxi, an AI-driven health-tech initiative developing predictive models of human health and longevity, producing visual material for the project’s archival collection and future content development.
